Enabling good development in our region

We've recently updated our Growth Plan and funding of infrastructure documentation to better reflect the needs and aspirations of our region.

We support sustainable land development across the Lower Hunter region. We do so by partnering with landowners, property developers, accredited supplies and government agencies.

As a key driver of Newcastle's regional growth strategy, our role is to ensure development is compliant, best practice and sustainable.

We want the Hunter to be the best it can be and to do that we work to:

  • Provide sustainable services for population growth
  • Enhance the liveability of urban areas
  • Deliver efficient and innovative services for new development

Our Development Services group is reviewing how we work with our partners and stakeholders. Share your ideas on how we can improve what we do.
