Northview St and Ryans Rd area - water interruption and possible changes in water colour (1 May)

30 April, 2019

Some properties in Northview St and parts of Ryans Rd may experience a water interruption (to both drinking water and recycled water supplies) on 1 May between 8am and 3pm. If this is likely to affect you, you will have received a letter from us. (Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.)

We suggest you fill some bottles so you have water available for drinking and cooking, and you might like to fill some buckets so you can flush the toilet during the day.

When the water supply is restored it's possible you may notice some discoloured water, due to sediment dislodging in the pipes. This is not considered a health concern, but we recommend you don't drink or wash clothes in discoloured water. Please run your tap for a few minutes, and if the water doesn't clear please let us know by calling 1300 657 657. (We will have work crews in the area monitoring the water colour and flushing the mains as necessary.)

This interruption is needed to prepare for the introduction of recycled water from 31 May 2019 in Gillieston Heights.
