We're working with our community to rehabilitate a natural section of Munibung Creek in Cardiff, between Pendlebury Road and Gorleston Terrace.
The rehabilitation work aims to:
maintain the natural appearance of the waterway
stabilise the banks and creek bed to prevent further erosion
protect adjoining property and buildings from erosion
reduce the build-up of rubbish and weeds.
The community told us what they like and don’t about the creek now, and how they would like to see it improved. Following community input into the rehabilitation plan, we have commenced detailed design and construction is expected to start in 2021.
