Community drop in session announced

Hunter Water is happy to notify Wyee residents that we are progressing through the detailed design phase with our contractor Monadelphous, and the construction schedule is on track to commence at the end of July 2019.

With the project start date fast approaching, we understand residents may have questions about the project and how it may affect properties and movements around town. To address this, we would like to invite Wyee residents to a community drop in session.

Date: Tuesday 25 June 2019
Time: Between 3 – 6pm (drop in anytime that suits you)
|Location: Wyee Community Hall, corner of Wyee Rd and Hue Hue Rd, Wyee

The drop in session allows you to ‘drop in’ whenever is convenient for you and have your questions answered one on one. Subject matter experts from Hunter Water, Monadelphous and Lake Macquarie City Council will be on hand to answer any queries you might have about the following topics:

  • Construction timeframes and methodology
  • Impacts to properties and locations around the town
  • Licences to work on private property
  • Sewer design questions
  • Issues, complaints or questions during construction
  • The process of connecting to the system once complete
  • Decommissioning existing systems (septics, etc)
  • Stormwater related issues
  • Project area/ plans for the future
  • Restoration works
