Second drop in session for Wyee residents

We have now completed over 1km of the 11km network, and the project is progressing well. Our construction crews have been managing several challenges in Zone 3 (south of Mannering Creek), including complex geotechnical conditions, restricted sites with utilities and lots of private property work, however, we are on track for a December 2020 completion.

We’re holding another community drop in session to answer any questions about project construction, how it affects residents and how to go about connecting to the new system.

Date: Thursday 21 November 2019
Time: Between 2:30 – 5:30pm (drop in any time that suits you)
Location: Wyee Community Hall, corner of Wyee Rd and Hue Hue Rd, Wyee

Subject matter experts from Hunter Water, Monadelphous and Lake Macquarie City Council will be on hand again to answer any queries about the following topics:

  • Construction timeframes and methodology
  • Impacts to properties and locations around the town
  • Licences to work on private property
  • Sewer design
  • Issues, complaints or questions during construction
  • The process of connecting to the system once complete
  • Decommissioning existing systems (septics, etc.)
  • Stormwater related issues
  • Project area plans for the future
  • Restoration works
